After a rather tough play, Celta de Virgos's Celestino Fero got a free kick in the 30th minute. Tasso FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. When Arnoldo Florian came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Celta de Virgos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnoldo Florian couldn't finish the play. Tasso FC's Berkin Dilsafa quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Agustin Enetz, made in the 78th minute of the game. 84 minutes into the match, Arnoldo Florian notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Tasso FC's Silverio Corderun. Silverio Corderun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 89 minutes into the match, Tasso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Florian came free, but Silverio Corderun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silverio Corderun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnoldo Florian in the 92nd minute of play. Roque Silviano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silverio Corderun having to interfere. After having played for 95 minutes, Arnoldo Florian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Celta de Virgos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnoldo Florian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Neither team could find the winning goal during normal time. The second half finished 2-2. Extra-time would have to be played.
With new strength the players walked out on the field for the first half of overtime. Arnoldo Florian in Celta de Virgos was the one to initiate the kick off. Facundo Quiroga kicked well hit freekick during the 99th minute of the match. Silverio Corderun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnoldo Florian in the 100th minute. After 104 played minutes Celta de Virgos got a freekick which was hit by Sergio Ermengol. After 109 minutes, Facundo Quiroga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tasso FC and the Celta de Virgos players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 109th minute of the game. One of Tasso FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Celta de Virgos:s goal. The goalkeeper, Silverio Corderun, was totally fooled by Celta de Virgos's Primitivo Buinton, who 111 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Celta de Virgos fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tasso FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
