Vilho Tikkanen's late challenge caught a Grosso United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vilho Tikkanen helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ruquense FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Vilho Tikkanen hit a great ball. In the 53rd minute, Åke Abelsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gustavo da Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without François-Xavier Dionnet having to interfere. Jonas Bladi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remigio Quirze in the 72nd minute of play. François-Xavier Dionnet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cayetano Xacintu in the 74th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvano Bide got free with Jonas Bladi in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulises Gartzen in the 82nd minute of play forced Ruquense FC's goalkeeper François-Xavier Dionnet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Gustavo da Costa put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of François-Xavier Dionnet. Grosso United's Reynaldo Pietro was substituted for Ulises Gartzen. Ruquense FC's François-Xavier Dionnet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cayetano Xacintu in the 89th minute of play. In the 92nd minute Reynaldo Pietro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but François-Xavier Dionnet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basilio Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Bladi having to interfere.
