Edmond Verdun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gervásio Severiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th match minute, VB-Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shao Kun Yuan to maneuver through the defense. Errecaborda AFC's Edmond Verdun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim de Barros in the 12th minute of play. Armindo Salgado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emílio Terra in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute, Miguel Savion hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the match, VB-Team's goal looked a bit too open when Emílio Terra came free, but Armindo Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Errecaborda AFC booed when VB-Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Rezende didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Joe Tate came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Errecaborda AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joe Tate couldn't finish the play. Prospero Jerardo might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armindo Salgado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Prospero Jerardo ran back to his position shaking his head. Armindo Salgado made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Prospero Jerardo sent off a good shot on target. When VB-Team's Joaquim de Barros in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Errecaborda AFC's goalie prevented a goal. 47 minutes into the match, VB-Team's goalkeeper Armindo Salgado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pastor Ado. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Armindo Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Ado in the 53rd minute of play. The VB-Team fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when VB-Team's Gervásio Severiano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Shao Kun Yuan hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Armindo Salgado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emílio Terra went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 67th minute, Joe Tate made a precise shot to the right of Armindo Salgado. VB-Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. VB-Team made a substitution. Luís Caeiro replaced Joaquim de Barros. After a rather tough play, VB-Team's César Sampaio got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After recieving a nice pass, Errecaborda AFC's Emílio Terra tried to score from far away in the 92nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Joe Tate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Although Errecaborda AFC had been in control for most of the match, VB-Team still came away with the win.
