The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alfredo Quattrocchi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcelinho Barral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfredo Quattrocchi went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Aílton Damião kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Roceira SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Daniele Bevilacqua scored to the left of an out of position Marcelinho Barral, making the score, 2-0. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Roceira SC's goalkeeper Marcelinho Barral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Montechiarugolo AFC defense, Michel Haaland kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pär Are. The Montechiarugolo AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pär Are should have stopped the shot. 35 minutes into the game, Daniele Bevilacqua cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Marcelinho Barral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ksawery Winnicki took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pär Are. Pär Are dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. In the 41st minute Michel Haaland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pär Are saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ksawery Winnicki in the 46th minute of play forced Montechiarugolo AFC's goalkeeper Pär Are to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michel Haaland to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Alfredo Quattrocchi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelinho Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pär Are made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Michel Haaland sent off a good shot on target. If Alfredo Quattrocchi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Montechiarugolo AFC's Pär Are played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dedê Oliveira in the 64th minute of play. A collision led to Roceira SC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Válbson Moraes hit a great ball. Montechiarugolo AFC's Fedele Marinetti was substituted for Anfilogino Preda. In the 66th minute, Válbson Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Montechiarugolo AFC's Fedele Testi couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 67th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Roceira SC. The supporters of Montechiarugolo AFC booed when Roceira SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dedê Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roceira SC's Marcelinho Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Quattrocchi in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st match minute, Roceira SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hulk Speed to maneuver through the defense. After 73 played minutes Roceira SC got a freekick which was hit by Andrés Maraschin. Marcelinho Barral came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Montechiarugolo AFC's Alfredo Quattrocchi. But to his dismay, Alfredo Quattrocchi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Marcelinho Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fedele Marinetti in the 79th minute of the match. The Montechiarugolo AFC fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Montechiarugolo AFC's Fedele Marinetti looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Montechiarugolo AFC's Fedele Marinetti in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Roceira SC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 92nd minute Montechiarugolo AFC were awarded a corner. Fedele Testi went to the cornerflag to take it. Marcelinho Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniele Bevilacqua in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute, Ksawery Winnicki reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pär Are. The goal made the score 5-3. Roceira SC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Montechiarugolo AFC had won, even though Roceira SC had held more of the ball.
