Róbert Kutas charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iurie Croitoru in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clemente Benvido prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 20thth minute of the game Iurie Croitoru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Canalla Fuego's Clemente Benvido was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With an all-out effort, Greenboys FC's Clemente Benvido threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Zsolt Füzesi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 25th minute, Aristides Villanueva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Danilo Vaz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Clemente Benvido was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 32nd minute Ricky Kalischer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Canalla Fuego's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aristides Villanueva in the 33rd minute. A nice corner shot did that Aristides Villanueva got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Danilo Vaz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Danilo Vaz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aristides Villanueva's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. After 39 played minutes Greenboys FC got a freekick which was hit by Péter Földes. Danilo Vaz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aristides Villanueva went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Gian Leu kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Iurie Croitoru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Canalla Fuego's Carlos Aimar was substituted for Aristides Villanueva. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iurie Croitoru was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Greenboys FC's goalkeeper Danilo Vaz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Aimar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iurie Croitoru in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clemente Benvido saved Canalla Fuego from getting behind. With 60 minutes on the clock, Ekain Gasteiz commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 60th minute, Ekain Gasteiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ricky Kalischer struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Danilo Vaz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canalla Fuego. Péter Földes kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Carlos Aimar came free with the goalkeeper in the 63rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Danilo Vaz could save by the left post. Canalla Fuego's Ricky Kalischer got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Zsolt Füzesi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Clemente Benvido was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Danilo Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricky Kalischer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute Ricky Kalischer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th match minute, Greenboys FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Péter Földes to maneuver through the defense. Danilo Vaz made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Carlos Aimar sent off a good shot on target. After 81 minutes Greenboys FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ricky Kalischer who took care of the corner kick. Zsolt Füzesi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clemente Benvido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iurie Croitoru in the 84th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Canalla Fuego's goal looked a bit too open when Medárd Újvári came free, but Clemente Benvido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Aimar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clemente Benvido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zsolt Füzesi, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
