An unexpectedly hard shot by Aníbal Alagoano in the 26th minute of play forced San Lorenzo de Sarandi's goalkeeper Mon Navarro Montoya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Mon Navarro Montoya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinicio Junior in the 30th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aníbal Alagoano in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mon Navarro Montoya saved San Lorenzo de Sarandi from getting behind. Jenipapo SC's Karl Pilgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonides Rosio in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute, San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Leonides Rosio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. 44 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo de Sarandi's goal looked a bit too open when Aníbal Alagoano came free, but Mon Navarro Montoya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 played minutes Jenipapo SC got a freekick which was hit by Kajetan Pilarski. The supporters of San Lorenzo de Sarandi booed when Jenipapo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kajetan Pilarski didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Aníbal Alagoano got free with Mon Navarro Montoya in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 54th minute of the match Jenipapo SC got a corner. San Lorenzo de Sarandi's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ricardinho Pena ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Zé Carlos Monteiro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mon Navarro Montoya quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Karl Pilgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Errando in the 57th minute of play. After 58 minutes Jenipapo SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Elias Honrio who took care of the corner kick. 61 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo de Sarandi's goal looked a bit too open when Aníbal Alagoano came free, but Mon Navarro Montoya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Aníbal Alagoano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mon Navarro Montoya was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. If Aníbal Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Baumar Cotarelo was substituted for Elias Honrio. Jenipapo SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aníbal Alagoano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mon Navarro Montoya breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 82nd minute Lorenzo Jerrold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Pilgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Baumar Cotarelo came free, but Karl Pilgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Ivan Errando in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
