Ismael Nazario Serre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rory Jobson in the 8th minute of the match. In the 10th minute of the match Gone With the Win got a corner. Papunhas EC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daud Kunaefi ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Papunhas EC's Valdemar de Moraes got a free kick in the 10th minute. Ismael Nazario Serre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rory Jobson in the 11th minute of play. La Mano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdemar de Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 minutes Gone With the Win's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marcel Pinho who took care of the corner kick. Marcel Pinho made a great header on Papunhas EC's corner, it was just that Gone With the Win's La Mano managed to reach the ball for a save. Keiran Tubbs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yuan Xing Lin in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ismael Nazario Serre saved Papunhas EC from getting behind. Ismael Nazario Serre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yuan Xing Lin's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. 28 minutes into the match, Papunhas EC's goal looked a bit too open when Yuan Xing Lin came free, but Ismael Nazario Serre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Keiran Tubbs made a precise shot to the right of Ismael Nazario Serre. Papunhas EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Keiran Tubbs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ismael Nazario Serre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Keiran Tubbs in the 33rd minute of play. Papunhas EC's Ismael Nazario Serre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rory Jobson in the 36th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Papunhas EC's La Mano threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Valdemar de Moraes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yuan Xing Lin was the one to do the kick off. Rory Jobson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Ismael Nazario Serre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th match minute, Papunhas EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Telmo Peres to maneuver through the defense. Yuan Xing Lin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Ismael Nazario Serre when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ismael Nazario Serre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rory Jobson in the 61st minute of play. Ismael Nazario Serre was a little too slow when Yuan Xing Lin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 0-2. Ismael Nazario Serre made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Yuan Xing Lin sent off a good shot on target. Gone With the Win's Yuan Xing Lin got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Valério Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Papunhas EC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gone With the Win were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
