An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonides Rosio in the 9th minute of play forced Tarada's goalkeeper Henrick Zeier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Tarada's goal looked a bit too open when Leonides Rosio came free, but Henrick Zeier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Tarada's Mon Navarro Montoya threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Adam Wielowiejski, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee showed Elias Honrio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tarada's Tizian Lengen was substituted for Piotrek Zielinski. Elias Honrio kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. A hard shot by Oskar Gunnarsson from long distance, 49 minutes into the match, got Mon Navarro Montoya's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Celestino Inko blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Henrick Zeier having to make a save. Tizian Lengen's late challenge caught a San Lorenzo de Sarandi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mon Navarro Montoya was left in no man's land by his defense there!
