The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Floresta Club U18's Léo de Brito proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Floresta Club U18 from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas de Souza in the 14th minute of play forced Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper Karl Pilgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomé Reis in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karl Pilgren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Floresta Club U18's Léo de Brito got control of the ball when Aníbal Alagoano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ricardinho Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Léo de Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aníbal Alagoano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Karl Pilgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douglas de Souza in the 28th minute of play. Karl Pilgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomé Reis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the match, Floresta Club U18's goalkeeper Léo de Brito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardinho Pena. With an all-out effort, Jenipapo SC's Léo de Brito threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vinicio Junior, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Vinicio Junior's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Léo de Brito read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. The supporters of Floresta Club U18 booed when Jenipapo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Carlos Monteiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Douglas de Souza made the kick off in the second half. Floresta Club U18 were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Jenipapo SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ruy da Rocha took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Ruy da Rocha got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Karl Pilgren quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Vinicio Junior received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Léo de Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aníbal Alagoano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Léo de Brito having to interfere. Floresta Club U18's Léo de Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinicio Junior in the 59th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Floresta Club U18's goal looked a bit too open when Vinicio Junior came free, but Léo de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maurício Arósio hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Ruy da Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 65 minutes into the match, Floresta Club U18's goal looked a bit too open when Vinicio Junior came free, but Léo de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner ended in Maurício Arósio almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Floresta Club U18's Léo de Brito did a great save. Léo de Brito didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vinicio Junior went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Floresta Club U18 made a substitution. Endrik Edmundo replaced Remo da Rocha. 79 minutes into the match, Floresta Club U18's goal looked a bit too open when Aníbal Alagoano came free, but Léo de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute Aníbal Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Léo de Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Léo de Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aníbal Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute.
