Silviu Latarețu was slow to take the kick. During this time F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's players had a chance to rest. Iulian Nicorici made a great header on F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's corner, it was just that Romania's Carol Stinga managed to reach the ball for a save. If Sanda Cutov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Iacob Povară took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sanda Cutov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Vasile Ciumak made a precise shot to the right of Iacob Povară. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Carol Stinga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silviu Latarețu in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Olaru in the 25th minute of play forced F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goalkeeper Iacob Povară to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. After 28 minutes of play, Romania's Sanda Cutov made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iacob Povară was left in no man's land by his defense there! Iacob Povară showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sanda Cutov in the 36th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Olaru came free, but Iacob Povară reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iacob Povară made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Olaru in the 45th minute of play. After 46 played minutes F.C CLUJ MEDICINA got a freekick which was hit by Alfie Solomons. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Serban in the 52nd minute of play forced F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goalkeeper Iacob Povară to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA were furious when Alfie Solomons was red carded, 53 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 52nd minute, one of F.C CLUJ MEDICINA:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for F.C CLUJ MEDICINA. When the match had been going on for 54 minutes, Romania's Adam Olaru got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Iacob Povară. Sanda Cutov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Iacob Povară made a huge save. Vasile Ciumak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Iacob Povară tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Gheorghe Bociort was substituted for Silviu Latarețu. Alex Serban fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iacob Povară having to interfere. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA made a substitution. Francisc Ciocoiu replaced Iosif Găman. Romania's Alexandru Pangratiu was substituted for Alex Serban. In the 80th minute, Sanda Cutov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iacob Povară was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Romania's Sanda Cutov got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Iulian Nicorici hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Sorin Cupșa got a free kick in the 84th minute. 87 minutes into the game, Sanda Cutov threw the ball into play from the sideline. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Sorin Cupșa quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Vasile Ciumak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iacob Povară having to make a save. Sanda Cutov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Iacob Povară tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's zone, Vasile Ciumak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iacob Povară came out of the goal and Vasile Ciumak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
