Maxime Durand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo Campana, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Leo Campana who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Maxime Durand when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 41 minutes into the game, Leo Campana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Maxime Durand was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ali Hamza Okuyan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Maxime Durand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgar Degas was the one to do the kick off. Frank Peletier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th minute Leo Campana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxime Durand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. France's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because KS LEW Chorzów had won, even though France had held more of the ball.
