The referee ignored Genk's protests and gave Segundo Ubendu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, Rain De Hond made a precise shot to the right of Vavrinec Holub. Czech Republic's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. In the 56th minute of the match Genk got a corner. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Genk fully deserved thier win.
