Czech Republic's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matouš Carda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 12th minute Rey Pelé shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vavrinec Holub saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Czech Republic getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Bohumir Kohout hit a great ball. After 15 minutes Czech Republic's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Silvio Asier who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Czech Republic getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. David Rusil hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Dostal in the 20th minute of play forced AFC - Curitiba's goalkeeper Fausto da Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. August Wahlnäs struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Vavrinec Holub didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC - Curitiba. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rey Pelé in the 24th minute of play forced Czech Republic's goalkeeper Vavrinec Holub to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Matouš Carda made a precise shot to the right of Vavrinec Holub. Czech Republic's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After a rather tough play, Czech Republic's Bohumir Kohout got a free kick in the 27th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rey Pelé in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vavrinec Holub prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 29 minutes into the match, Rey Pelé notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Czech Republic's Vavrinec Holub. Vavrinec Holub was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vavrinec Holub made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Matouš Carda sent off a good shot on target. In the 40th minute, Rey Pelé made a precise shot to the right of Vavrinec Holub. Czech Republic's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. In the 43rd minute, Erik Jilek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Vitek kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

AFC - Curitiba made a substitution. Romário Ortiz replaced Zhang Yin Si. In the 57th minute Rey Pelé shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vavrinec Holub saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vavrinec Holub came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by AFC - Curitiba's Romário Ortiz. But to his dismay, Romário Ortiz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. AFC - Curitiba's August Wahlnäs got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matouš Carda scored 8-0 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vavrinec Holub, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Czech Republic's Vavrinec Holub played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by August Wahlnäs in the 74th minute of play. If Jan Bykowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Matouš Carda managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC - Curitiba's supporters rose to their feet, but Matouš Carda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vavrinec Holub breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 87 minutes of play, AFC - Curitiba's Jan Bykowski made it 10-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vavrinec Holub was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Czech Republic defense, Jan Bykowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vavrinec Holub. The Czech Republic fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vavrinec Holub should have stopped the shot. 93 minutes into the game, AFC - Curitiba's Jan Bykowski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vavrinec Holub made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 12-0. When Alan Rezek fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Czech Republic's protests and gave Alan Rezek a yellow card for diving instead. AFC - Curitiba walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
