The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Samir Faltus got a throw-in 4 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Jan Vebr. Vít Froněk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sreten Popovic in the 12th minute of the match. FC Blue Twister Liberec's Vít Froněk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Borjan Golubovic in the 14th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Borjan Golubovic left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Serbia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 17th minute, Petr Vrzák ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Sreten Popovic charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Petr Vrzák stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Rajmund Nevařil fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Blue Twister Liberec's protests and gave Rajmund Nevařil a yellow card for diving instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sreten Popovic couldn't finish the play. Momir Gisic kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Serbia were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
