Jurado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th match minute, Manchester United F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conner Carragher to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Manchester United F.C.'s Lyubcho Karadachki got control of the ball when Fernando Amorebieta tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 19th minute, Fernando Amorebieta fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Go Ahead Eagles's Iustin Bâru in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Manchester United F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Scarafia Ghost showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albin Apelquist, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. A sloppy throw-in by D.J. Jurado in the 22nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Go Ahead Eagles's Giorgos Kontodimos. In the 24th match minute, Go Ahead Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iustin Bâru to maneuver through the defense. Scarafia Ghost made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conner Carragher in the 25th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Manchester United F.C.'s Albin Apelquist got a free kick in the 32nd minute. With a little luck, Manchester United F.C.'s Lyubcho Karadachki got control of the ball when Iustin Bâru tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lyubcho Karadachki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iustin Bâru in the 40th minute. Giorgos Kontodimos shot a hard long shot which touched the left pole and just rolled over the goal line behind Lyubcho Karadachki. 47 minutes into the game was 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Iustin Bâru made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Iustin Bâru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lyubcho Karadachki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lyubcho Karadachki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iustin Bâru, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Go Ahead Eagles's Iustin Bâru sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lyubcho Karadachki narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lyubcho Karadachki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Amorebieta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the match, Manchester United F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Iustin Bâru came free, but Lyubcho Karadachki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manchester United F.C. made a substitution. Parvan Dakelov replaced Conner Carragher. Manga Mangkudikusumah was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Go Ahead Eagles's Scarafia Ghost played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Parvan Dakelov in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute Manchester United F.C. were awarded a corner. Ðukan Braga went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Ðukan Braga almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Go Ahead Eagles's Scarafia Ghost did a great save. In the 90th minute of the match Go Ahead Eagles got a corner. Manchester United F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Panos Kaklamanos ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miltiadis Bourlokas in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lyubcho Karadachki saved Manchester United F.C. from getting behind. Fernando Amorebieta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lyubcho Karadachki having to interfere. Manchester United F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
