Tommy Kahn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A throw-in in the 31st minute of the game was made by Federico Abud with Raffaelo Berger as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Tommy Kahn stood somewhat misplaced when Alain Berset came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 35 minute. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roman Beljean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alain Berset in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 42nd minute, Williams Imholz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Espen Steelers getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Alberto Giacometti hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

When Frank Sachs fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Germany's protests and gave Frank Sachs a yellow card for diving instead. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alain Berset, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Fabian Honauer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Sachs in the 59th minute. Espen Steelers's Alberto Giacometti was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tommy Kahn in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alain Berset in the 96th minute of play. Espen Steelers walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
