Faustino Ortle made in the 6th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Otsoa Manzardo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nelson Haedo got free with Amran Suhaya in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Club Olimpia's Alfredo Aguilar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Alberto Suárez in the 12th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Soleh Juandi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfredo Aguilar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Alberto Suárez in the 24th minute of the match. Luis Alberto Suárez might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredo Aguilar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Alberto Suárez ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rasyid Purbaya during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Putra Rewulu booed when Club Olimpia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jack Hägglund didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luis Alberto Suárez in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo Aguilar saved Club Olimpia from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luis Alberto Suárez made a kick off. The referee showed Moises Udoy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 93 played minutes Putra Rewulu got a freekick which was hit by Moises Udoy. Alfredo Aguilar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Asmadi Subagio in the 95th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
