Maxim Tâbârnã charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Marioara Matei was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The U21 Moldova manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing U21 Romania to win.
