Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) A.S. Udinese's Ercole Fiorentino started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Alexander Bottone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Ascaso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Spain's Gabriel Ascaso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Spain from getting a goal against them. Alvaro Rotili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adria Bielsa in the 10th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Omar Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Rotili saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Spain's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Bottone came free, but Gabriel Ascaso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Spain's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alberigo Di Franco was slow to take the kick. During this time A.S. Udinese's players had a chance to rest. 25 minutes into the match, A.S. Udinese's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Toledo came free, but Alvaro Rotili reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Bottone in the 37th minute of play forced Spain's goalkeeper Gabriel Ascaso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A.S. Udinese's Alvaro Rotili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adria Bielsa in the 39th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberigo Di Franco got free with Gabriel Ascaso in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Omar Toledo made the kick off in the second half. If David Aranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the match, A.S. Udinese's goalkeeper Alvaro Rotili had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Omar Toledo. With an all-out effort, Spain's Alvaro Rotili threw himself towards the right post 62 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Adria Bielsa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A.S. Udinese made a substitution. Alexander Damiani replaced Bruno Maranzano. Matias Ferrandis kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Cristiano Paolucci struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Gabriel Ascaso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.S. Udinese. Spain's Carles Cherro was substituted for Omar Toledo. Spain were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after A.S. Udinese's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Adria Bielsa took the corner. The corner ended in Jonathan Criado almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but A.S. Udinese's Alvaro Rotili did a great save. Spain's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Adria Bielsa in the 73rd minute. Alvaro Rotili took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adria Bielsa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Spain's Sergio Ruiz was substituted for Adria Bielsa. Spain made a substitution. Pau Herrero replaced David Aranda. The A.S. Udinese fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when A.S. Udinese's Alexander Bottone looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a little luck, A.S. Udinese's Alvaro Rotili got control of the ball when Carles Cherro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alexander Bottone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 96th match minute, A.S. Udinese was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corrado Falasca to maneuver through the defense. In the 97th minute of the match Jon Cubero sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alvaro Rotili skillfully saved the ball. Spain were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing A.S. Udinese to leave the ground with a draw.
