Ralph Roeles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Meesters in the 5th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Ralph Roeles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralph Roeles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ralph Roeles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Eikelkamp in the 12th minute of play. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Ralph Roeles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute David Eikelkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralph Roeles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Gustaaf Groeneveldt almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Ralph Roeles did a great save. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Kurt van der Laan tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 23rd minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralph Roeles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Ralph Roeles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 26th minute of play. In the 26th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. 29 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ralph Roeles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ralph Roeles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. When Serge Frankena fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's protests and gave Serge Frankena a yellow card for diving instead. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 41st minute of play forced Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goalkeeper Ralph Roeles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ralph Roeles didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Ralph Roeles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kurt van der Laan made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Ralph Roeles. Ralph Roeles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 56 minutes into the match, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goal looked a bit too open when Egbert Nijveldt came free, but Ralph Roeles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Ralph Roeles in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ralph Roeles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64th match minute, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt Petersson to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ariel Cordarell in the 67th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wim Wilmes struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Ralph Roeles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. A collision led to Julias Rascals Apeldoorn getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Tarvi Koop hit a great ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Ralph Roeles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Ralph Roeles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wim Wilmes in the 88th minute. Kurt van der Laan took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. In the 95th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ralph Roeles. The goal made the score 1-5. The Julias Rascals Apeldoorn fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Netherlands were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
