An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 7th minute of play forced Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goalkeeper Ralph Roeles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Jan de Vlieger in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Kurt van der Laan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. Kurt van der Laan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tommy Kahn having to make a save. Germany's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Kurt van der Laan scored to the left of an out of position Tommy Kahn, making the score, 4-1. When Albin Holweck fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Germany's protests and gave Albin Holweck a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Germany's Albin Holweck got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the game, Jan de Vlieger recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tommy Kahn. Jan de Vlieger showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-1. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goalkeeper Ralph Roeles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Willy Stieler got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ralph Roeles quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ariel Cordarell in the 42nd minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Kurt van der Laan sent off a good shot on target. After 47 played minutes Julias Rascals Apeldoorn got a freekick which was hit by Bengt Petersson. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank Sachs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Janik Vogt kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt van der Laan in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goalkeeper Ralph Roeles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kurt van der Laan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 63 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Malte Schiele. Otto Schiphouwer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tommy Kahn. Germany's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Kurt van der Laan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 68 minutes into the game, Jan de Vlieger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 72 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt van der Laan came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ariel Cordarell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan de Vlieger in the 80th minute of play. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Jan de Vlieger. But to his dismay, Jan de Vlieger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan de Vlieger in the 84th minute of play. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Kurt van der Laan. But to his dismay, Kurt van der Laan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-1. After having played for 89 minutes, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Jan de Vlieger made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-1. The supporters of Germany booed when Julias Rascals Apeldoorn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karel Kimman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
