Jacinto Maurer took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mircea Mitulescu. Mircea Mitulescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matei Enciulescu got free with Hias Nüssli in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 26th match minute, Switzerland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timo Siegmund to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th match minute, Switzerland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo von Känel to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Reynaldo Leite managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC Napoca's supporters rose to their feet, but Reynaldo Leite was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hias Nüssli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mircea Mitulescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuele Kunz, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Matei Enciulescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hias Nüssli having to make a save. Jacinto Maurer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Samuele Kunz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to AFC Napoca getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Carter Nobili hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matei Enciulescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hias Nüssli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matei Enciulescu in the 51st minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Samuele Kunz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodrigo von Känel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mircea Mitulescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Reynaldo Leite blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hias Nüssli having to make a save. AFC Napoca's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Samuele Kunz scored to the left of an out of position Mircea Mitulescu, making the score, 2-2. AFC Napoca made a substitution. Mugur Postolache replaced Martin Pătrășconiu. AFC Napoca made a substitution. Isac Rogoz replaced Albert Macri. After 75 played minutes Switzerland got a freekick which was hit by Timo Siegmund. Switzerland's Hias Nüssli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Leite in the 76th minute of play. AFC Napoca's Mircea Mitulescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save AFC Napoca from getting a goal against them. A collision led to AFC Napoca getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Isac Rogoz hit a great ball. Samuele Kunz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mircea Mitulescu having to interfere. Mircea Mitulescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Samuele Kunz in the 85th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Samuele Kunz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Switzerland's supporters rose to their feet, but Samuele Kunz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mircea Mitulescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
