In the 25thth minute of the game Cauan Botelho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MKS Legion Częstochowa's Paco Dean was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half Atlético Capixaba were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valter Festas to make the kick off. Valter Festas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Atlético Capixaba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MKS Legion Częstochowa the free kick. The audience was convinced that Tobias Romildo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paco Dean was relentless in the 91st minute of the game.
