Ricardo Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baumar Ontanilla in the 2nd minute of play. In the 2nd minute Baumar Ontanilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardo Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitaliy Fedchenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. The supporters of FC Anderlecht Huachipato booed when Limoeiro-PE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinho Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 13 minutes, Vitaliy Fedchenko made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Limoeiro-PE FC's Ricardo Carneiro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 16 minutes into the match, FC Anderlecht Huachipato's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Magalhães came free, but Serbülent Baysan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vitaliy Fedchenko took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Carneiro. Ricardo Carneiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 29th minute, Alberto-Federico Acosta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Carneiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After some careless play in the Limoeiro-PE FC defense, Vitaliy Fedchenko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Carneiro. The Limoeiro-PE FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Carneiro should have stopped the shot. 34 minutes into the game, one of FC Anderlecht Huachipato:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 36 minutes, Limoeiro-PE FC's Lino Correia got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Serbülent Baysan. Limoeiro-PE FC's Ricardo Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baumar Ontanilla in the 39th minute of play. 47 minutes into the game, Baumar Ontanilla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Ricardo Carneiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

After 57 minutes of play, FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Vitaliy Fedchenko made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Carneiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ricardo Carneiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto-Federico Acosta went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-7 was the resulting score. Serbülent Baysan came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Limoeiro-PE FC's Lino Correia. But to his dismay, Lino Correia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-7. After having played for 67 minutes, Eliseu Camargo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Limoeiro-PE FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseu Camargo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 70th minute Alarico San Martín shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vitaliy Fedchenko in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Carneiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 73 minutes into the game, FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Eufemio Ehijo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Carneiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-8. Serbülent Baysan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseu Camargo in the 76th minute of play. The supporters of Limoeiro-PE FC booed when FC Anderlecht Huachipato was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitaliy Fedchenko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hugo Magalhães hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Alarico San Martín lost his temper 88 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to FC Anderlecht Huachipato getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Alarico San Martín hit a great ball. Serbülent Baysan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Secco in the 90th minute of the match. Eufemio Ehijo struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Ricardo Carneiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Anderlecht Huachipato. FC Anderlecht Huachipato played a much better game than Limoeiro-PE FC and deserved their victory. The Limoeiro-PE FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
