An unexpectedly hard shot by Henri Quesada in the 20th minute of play forced KFC Paal-Tervant's goalkeeper Reinaud De Schutter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christophe Dugas got free with Reinaud De Schutter in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Saint Côme de Fresné getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Dan Gillette hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henri Quesada was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Paal-Tervant's zone, Luc Boulogne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reinaud De Schutter came out of the goal and Luc Boulogne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 92 minutes into the game, Christophe Dugas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Reinaud De Schutter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 95 minutes into the match, KFC Paal-Tervant's goal looked a bit too open when Henri Quesada came free, but Reinaud De Schutter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that Saint Côme de Fresné were the better team. Saint Côme de Fresné's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
