A collision led to Åsnes getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Petter Vartdal hit a great ball. The Åsnes fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Åsnes's Petter Vartdal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 42nd minute of the match, Petter Vartdal got a very nice opportunity to score, but Federico Micarelli was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpected shot in the 82nd minute by Augusto Giacchetti got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
