Primitivo Grau started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Franz Corral threw the ball into play from the sideline. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Dacian Tilea quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Primitivo Grau in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baraxil Sarrate saved VILLARREAL UNITED from getting behind. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Stasio Bienienda in the 4th minute. Zhao Sen Yang was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 7 minutes into the match, VILLARREAL UNITED's goalkeeper Baraxil Sarrate had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stasio Bienienda. In the 10th minute, Zadornin Puig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Zhao Sen Yang managed to get in a good position for a shot. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Zhao Sen Yang was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baraxil Sarrate breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. VILLARREAL UNITED's Valentin Voicu got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th match minute, VILLARREAL UNITED was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johan Öman to maneuver through the defense. Baraxil Sarrate was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Zhao Sen Yang capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zhao Sen Yang really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. VILLARREAL UNITED's Baraxil Sarrate proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save VILLARREAL UNITED from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s zone, Valentin Voicu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diki Doro came out of the goal and Valentin Voicu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diki Doro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Voicu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Dacian Tilea managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Johan Öman in the 37 minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valentin Voicu to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes VILLARREAL UNITED got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Voicu. Baraxil Sarrate made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhao Sen Yang in the 53rd minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Voicu came free, but Diki Doro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Voicu in the 59th minute of play forced Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Diki Doro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Diki Doro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Voicu in the 61st minute of play. Zhao Sen Yang might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Baraxil Sarrate. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zhao Sen Yang ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- defense, Valentin Voicu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Diki Doro. The Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diki Doro should have stopped the shot. Baraxil Sarrate didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zhao Sen Yang went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. VILLARREAL UNITED made a substitution. Gert Vesterberg replaced Nofre Madariaga. Pacôme Daire struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Diki Doro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VILLARREAL UNITED. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Diki Doro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 81 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Yusuf Kaya came free, but Diki Doro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute Zhao Sen Yang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baraxil Sarrate saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Pacôme Daire dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Diki Doro, 2-2. After 92 played minutes VILLARREAL UNITED got a freekick which was hit by Johan Öman. Stasio Bienienda, 93 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Pacôme Daire could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Diki Doro made a huge save. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though VILLARREAL UNITED had controlled the match.
