The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Valter Xabat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but David Rotariu made a huge save. A collision led to Alemannia Aachen getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Aulis Salomaa hit a great ball. Jess Carnduff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthew Wagner in the 5th minute of play. Thomas Müller kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Jonas Klinsmann kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, PoWer SC 2K5's Leroy Kluttig got a free kick in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valter Xabat in the 16th minute of play forced PoWer SC 2K5's goalkeeper David Rotariu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's goal looked a bit too open when Leroy Kluttig came free, but Jess Carnduff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zvonimir Prestin in the 21st minute of play forced Alemannia Aachen's goalkeeper Jess Carnduff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute Zvonimir Prestin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jess Carnduff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, PoWer SC 2K5's David Rotariu got control of the ball when Valter Xabat tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Alemannia Aachen booed when PoWer SC 2K5 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Kimmich didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valter Xabat in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Rotariu saved PoWer SC 2K5 from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Valter Xabat's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Rotariu was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. In the 29th minute of the match Alemannia Aachen got a corner. PoWer SC 2K5's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Manfred Kottsieper ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jess Carnduff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Klinsmann in the 30th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's Valter Xabat sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Rotariu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Todor came free, but Jess Carnduff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Rotariu had great luck who in the 37thth minute grab hold of the ball when Valter Xabat from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Alemannia Aachen were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after PoWer SC 2K5's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Manfred Kottsieper took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Thomas Müller got away a dangerous shot. Despite this David Rotariu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valter Xabat in the 40th minute of play forced PoWer SC 2K5's goalkeeper David Rotariu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thomas Müller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. David Rotariu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 46 played minutes Alemannia Aachen got a freekick which was hit by Lech Wawrukiewicz. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After some careless play in the PoWer SC 2K5 defense, Valter Xabat kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Rotariu. The PoWer SC 2K5 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Rotariu should have stopped the shot. David Rotariu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Müller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Valter Xabat managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alemannia Aachen's supporters rose to their feet, but Valter Xabat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Rotariu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 74 minutes into the game, Alemannia Aachen's Valter Xabat nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. David Rotariu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 79 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's goal looked a bit too open when Zvonimir Prestin came free, but Jess Carnduff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute, Jan Kimmich hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute, Valter Xabat made a precise shot to the right of David Rotariu. PoWer SC 2K5's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. David Rotariu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valter Xabat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aulis Salomaa's late challenge caught a PoWer SC 2K5's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aulis Salomaa helped the player get up and apologised. After 92 played minutes Alemannia Aachen got a freekick which was hit by Aulis Salomaa. PoWer SC 2K5's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
