If Stasio Bienienda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Bonet in the 12th minute of play forced Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Diki Doro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 played minutes Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Dacian Tilea. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Bonet in the 18th minute of play forced Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Diki Doro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute of the match Daustad got a corner. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mats Bentsen ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mieszko Pilsudski was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Luis Bonet took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Diki Doro. Diki Doro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Luis Bonet might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diki Doro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Bonet ran back to his position shaking his head. 33 minutes into the match, Luis Bonet notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Diki Doro. Diki Doro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Daustad's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mats Bentsen in the 39th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Luis Bonet might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diki Doro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Bonet ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Daustad's zone, Zhao Sen Yang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jo Øverås came out of the goal and Zhao Sen Yang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 57 minutes, İlhami Akyazıcı managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but İlhami Akyazıcı was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zhao Sen Yang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zhao Sen Yang could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Jo Øverås made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mieszko Pilsudski in the 61st minute of play forced Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Diki Doro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diki Doro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mieszko Pilsudski in the 64th minute of the match. Jo Øverås made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhao Sen Yang in the 65th minute of play. Zhao Sen Yang might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jo Øverås. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zhao Sen Yang ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zhao Sen Yang got free with Jo Øverås in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Zhao Sen Yang slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jo Øverås. That made the score 2-1 after 77 minutes of play. Stasio Bienienda kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Pelle Anundsson made in the 83rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Are Rygg however managed to control. The audience was convinced that Luis Bonet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diki Doro was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. The supporters of Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- booed when Daustad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pelle Anundsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Daustad.
