When the match had been going on for 5 minutes, Garsås IF's Charlie Löfgren got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Wilson Amorim. After 10 minutes, Rodolfo Miranda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Portugal and the Garsås IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rodolfo Miranda hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfons Sjö saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Ove Stål in the 20th minute of play. Alfons Sjö showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 28th minute of the match. Wilson Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ola Lund in the 31st minute. With a little luck, Portugal's Wilson Amorim got control of the ball when Ola Lund tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alfons Sjö showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 34th minute of the match. Garsås IF's Maicon Pereira managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Rodolfo Miranda in the 37 minute of the game. Alfons Sjö made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Moreira in the 42nd minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 51st minute, Ola Lund left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Garsås IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Ove Stål, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ola Lund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Ove Stål, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Garsås IF's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
