The C Ａ R D I N Ａ L fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicolae Niculcea should have stopped the shot. Denis Dostal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolae Niculcea having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Alan Rezek had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicolae Niculcea. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alan Rezek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The throw-in from Svatopluk Capek in the 23rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Sandu Onciu. 27 minutes into the game, Daniel Vitek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Czech Republic's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C Ａ R D I N Ａ L the free kick. The supporters of C Ａ R D I N Ａ L booed when Czech Republic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Vitek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iulian Ghionea kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Dalimil Charvat made in the 32nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Gigel Nichita. Bohumir Kohout kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 36th minute Erik Jilek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolae Niculcea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicolae Niculcea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Dostal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erik Jilek scored 0-3 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicolae Niculcea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 47 played minutes Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Vitek. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudiu Gioagă to make the kick off. Bohumir Kohout made in the 55th minute of the game a quick throw-in and David Rusil immediately put the ball in play. Dalimil Charvat made in the 58th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Gigel Nichita. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Sandu Onciu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Svatopluk Capek, made in the 61st minute of the game. 62 minutes in the game Svatopluk Capek did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Denis Dostal. 69 minutes into the game, Svatopluk Capek threw the ball into play from the sideline. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Sandu Onciu quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Nicolae Niculcea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Jilek in the 76th minute of play. Nicolae Niculcea was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Denis Dostal showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 79 minute of play. Iulian Ghionea hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Erik Jilek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Czech Republic's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik Jilek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolae Niculcea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The throw-in from Bohumir Kohout in the 90th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Sandu Onciu. In the 96th match minute, Czech Republic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalimil Charvat to maneuver through the defense. Chants of Czech Republic echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as C Ａ R D I N Ａ L had held the ball for most of the match.
