In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Limoeiro-PE FC's goalkeeper Paulo Queiroz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Shi Li Sha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo Queiroz having to make a save. Renzo Spadafora kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Shi Li Sha charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Shi Li Sha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th match minute, FC Hackspett U21 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shi Li Sha to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Limoeiro-PE FC booed when FC Hackspett U21 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shi Li Sha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute, Hernani Sabóia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Cheito Molek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Limoeiro-PE FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cheito Molek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joachim Holmgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulo Queiroz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miromir Szostak's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Miromir Szostak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo Queiroz having to make a save. In the 34th minute, Göran Ekelund left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Hackspett U21 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 0-3 became the score in the 42nd minute when Miromir Szostak elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Ye Feng Feng got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half FC Hackspett U21 were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yan Koban was the one to do the kick off. Renzo Spadafora hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute, Miromir Szostak made a precise shot to the right of Paulo Queiroz. Limoeiro-PE FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Limoeiro-PE FC made a substitution. Solano Canelas replaced Renzo Spadafora. After a rather tough play, Limoeiro-PE FC's Yan Koban got a free kick in the 61st minute. Miromir Szostak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 64 minutes, Branco Montenegro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Limoeiro-PE FC and the FC Hackspett U21 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 65th match minute, Limoeiro-PE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Branco Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miromir Szostak in the 66th minute of play. If Luka Pirlo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. Benjamim de Brito took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joachim Holmgren. FC Hackspett U21's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 76th minute, FC Hackspett U21's Miromir Szostak ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Paulo Queiroz. Paulo Queiroz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Hackspett U21's Shi Li Sha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Paulo Queiroz. That made the score 0-6 after 79 minutes of play. Miromir Szostak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Queiroz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Miromir Szostak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo Queiroz having to make a save. Paulo Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miromir Szostak in the 84th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Miromir Szostak kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Paulo Queiroz. That made the score 0-7 in the 88 minute of play. Alvin Brenner blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo Queiroz having to make a save. In the 96th minute, Miromir Szostak reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paulo Queiroz. The goal made the score 0-8.
