Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when John Ahlstedt got the match started through his kick off. John Ahlstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. John Arvidsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 5 played minutes Atletico Sweds got a freekick which was hit by Simon Vallgren. After a rather tough play, Menofta's Eric Alebeck got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute of the match Karl Bark sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but John Arvidsson skillfully saved the ball. Tage Tidéksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Arvidsson having to interfere. Menofta's Sonny Johansson got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 19 minutes into the game, Rutger Rosendal lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Sebastian Öberg. In the 21st minute, Karl Bark hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute of the match, Pelle Ekegren tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sebastian Öberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Sebastian Öberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pelle Ekegren went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. When Sonny Johansson came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Menofta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sonny Johansson couldn't finish the play. 34 minutes into the game, John Ahlstedt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. John Arvidsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sonny Johansson's late challenge caught a Atletico Sweds's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sonny Johansson helped the player get up and apologised. After 40 played minutes Menofta got a freekick which was hit by Sonny Johansson. Wilhelm Gregersson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Arvidsson having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Sebastian Öberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pelle Ekegren in the 52nd minute of play. After 56 minutes, Patric Gregersson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atletico Sweds and the Menofta players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Arne Vestberg came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Menofta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arne Vestberg couldn't finish the play. Sonny Johansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Sebastian Öberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sonny Johansson might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastian Öberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sonny Johansson ran back to his position shaking his head. Sebastian Öberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rutger Rosendal, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Rutger Rosendal took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebastian Öberg. Sebastian Öberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. 70 minutes into the game, Atletico Sweds's John Ahlstedt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. John Arvidsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. After a rather tough play, Menofta's Hubert Strömberg got a free kick in the 74th minute. If Pelle Ekegren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Gustaf Nyman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute, Ulf Mårtensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. John Arvidsson made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when John Ahlstedt sent off a good shot on target. John Ahlstedt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but John Arvidsson made a huge save. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Atletico Sweds players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
