Saint Côme de Fresné's Gameiro Lenoble played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cheito Molek in the 47th minute of play. The Saint Côme de Fresné players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Limoeiro-PE FC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Erwin Jury made the kick off in the second half. Paulo Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascal Pont in the 52nd minute of the match. Gameiro Lenoble took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Passos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Limoeiro-PE FC were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Saint Côme de Fresné's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Júnior Galego took the corner. 57 minutes into the match, Limoeiro-PE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mathieu Guiton came free, but Paulo Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilson Barreto made in the 64th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Marcel Passos immediately put the ball in play. In the 92nd minute, Davy Poirrier ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulo Queiroz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Saint Côme de Fresné's Gameiro Lenoble proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Saint Côme de Fresné from getting a goal against them. Despite being the better team, Limoeiro-PE FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
