BEST FABIO F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Serbia the free kick. Borjan Golubovic took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laerte Godoi. Laerte Godoi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Borjan Golubovic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th match minute, Serbia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Borjan Golubovic to maneuver through the defense. Laerte Godoi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sreten Popovic went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Laerte Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sreten Popovic, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute, BEST FABIO F.C.'s Celsinho Bezerra seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Celsinho Bezerra the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of BEST FABIO F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Celsinho Bezerra had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of Serbia booed when BEST FABIO F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celsinho Bezerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laerte Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Borjan Golubovic, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 35 minutes of play, Serbia's Sreten Popovic made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Laerte Godoi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Laerte Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sreten Popovic in the 40th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sreten Popovic in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Laerte Godoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Emerson Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laerte Godoi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sreten Popovic went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. After the first half Serbia were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Sreten Popovic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laerte Godoi having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Borjan Golubovic in the 57th minute of play forced BEST FABIO F.C.'s goalkeeper Laerte Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute, Serbia's Sreten Popovic dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. A throw-in in the 62nd minute of the game was made by Fernando Varela with Tarcisio da Mata as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Drasko Rajkovic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laerte Godoi having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Emerson Matorin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Serbia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emerson Matorin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. BEST FABIO F.C.'s Laerte Godoi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save BEST FABIO F.C. from getting a goal against them. 75 minutes into the match, BEST FABIO F.C.'s goalkeeper Laerte Godoi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sreten Popovic. BEST FABIO F.C.'s Laerte Godoi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save BEST FABIO F.C. from getting a goal against them. Laerte Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Borjan Golubovic in the 80th minute of the match. Miljan Gavrilovic made in the 85th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Drasko Rajkovic immediately put the ball in play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sreten Popovic in the 89th minute of play forced BEST FABIO F.C.'s goalkeeper Laerte Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, BEST FABIO F.C.'s Fernando Varela got a free kick in the 90th minute. Laerte Godoi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sreten Popovic in the 94th minute. With a little luck, BEST FABIO F.C.'s Laerte Godoi got control of the ball when Sreten Popovic tried to sneak it across the goal line. 98 minutes into the game, Serbia's Borjan Golubovic nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Laerte Godoi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6.
