In the 8th minute, Toni Mauzer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Croatia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Laerte Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toni Mauzer in the 11th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Teo Gudelj threw the ball into play from the sideline. BEST FABIO F.C.'s Tarcisio da Mata quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The throw-in from Silvije Santek in the 15th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by BEST FABIO F.C.'s André Luís Capixaba. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toni Mauzer in the 17th minute of play forced BEST FABIO F.C.'s goalkeeper Laerte Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laerte Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toni Mauzer, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After 21 minutes of play, Croatia's Eduard Kostelac made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Laerte Godoi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Laerte Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toni Mauzer in the 24th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the game, Croatia's Damir Pongrac nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Laerte Godoi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Ilija Skugor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horácio Pombal in the 30th minute of the match. Laerte Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damir Pongrac in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute Damir Pongrac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laerte Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. BEST FABIO F.C.'s attentive Celsinho Bezerra managed to snatch the ball when Teo Gudelj made a throw-in in the 35th minute of the game. 40 minutes into the match, BEST FABIO F.C.'s Horácio Pombal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ilija Skugor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Damir Pongrac had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the BEST FABIO F.C. defense, Martin Bosak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Laerte Godoi. The BEST FABIO F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Laerte Godoi should have stopped the shot. In the 47th minute, Toni Mauzer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laerte Godoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fernando Varela stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rômulo dos Santos hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. BEST FABIO F.C.'s André Luís Capixaba quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Toni Mauzer, made in the 57th minute of the game. Teo Gudelj got a throw-in 62 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Eduard Kostelac. After having played for 64 minutes, Martin Bosak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Croatia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Bosak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Laerte Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Bosak in the 68th minute of the match. Damir Pongrac could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Laerte Godoi made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toni Mauzer in the 73rd minute of play forced BEST FABIO F.C.'s goalkeeper Laerte Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eduard Kostelac made in the 79th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Toni Mauzer however managed to control. André Luís Capixaba was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 80 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in BEST FABIO F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! In the 83rd minute there was a penalty for Croatia. Toni Mauzer stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Laerte Godoi. 0-6. Laerte Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toni Mauzer in the 87th minute of the match. Ilija Skugor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Guilherme Bertassi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A throw-in in the 91st minute of the game was made by Silvije Santek with Martin Bosak as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. BEST FABIO F.C.'s Laerte Godoi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save BEST FABIO F.C. from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Croatia's Martin Bosak slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Laerte Godoi. That made the score 0-7 after 93 minutes of play. 97 minutes into the match, BEST FABIO F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Toni Mauzer came free, but Laerte Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celsinho Bezerra kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. Laerte Godoi was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 99th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Toni Mauzer. BEST FABIO F.C.'s Laerte Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Bosak in the 100th minute of play. The Croatia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Croatia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
