Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gijsbert ter Kruimer got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt made a precise shot to the right of Kenneth Knudsen. AEK FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Wim Wilmes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sindre Westerlund in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 20th minute of play forced AEK FC's goalkeeper Kenneth Knudsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 21st minute. A nice corner shot did that Gijsbert ter Kruimer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Kenneth Knudsen quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bjørn Østby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute Steve Triganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Gijsbert ter Kruimer came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gijsbert ter Kruimer couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd match minute, AEK FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlinhos Trancoso to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to score from far away in the 33rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Kenneth Knudsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 35th minute of play. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kent Remme in the 37th minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Kenneth Knudsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

52 minutes into the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of AEK FC's Kenneth Knudsen. Kenneth Knudsen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gijsbert ter Kruimer hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute of the match Lars-Erik Angvik sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnout Reekers skillfully saved the ball. In the 57thth minute of the game Steve Triganza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. David Eikelkamp came free with the goalkeeper in the 61st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Kenneth Knudsen could save by the left post. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 62nd minute. The corner led Netherlands's Lars Meesters to fire away a dangerous shot which Kenneth Knudsen despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 64 minutes into the match, AEK FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Kenneth Knudsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind AEK FC's goalkeeper Kenneth Knudsen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 72nd minute, Leonard Sandvær hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When AEK FC's Leonard Sandvær in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Netherlands's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Netherlands booed when AEK FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. 任远兴 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kenneth Knudsen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran back to his position shaking his head. Steve Triganza hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After 94 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
