When Antal Valentin came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antal Valentin couldn't finish the play. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillermo Izquierdo in the 29th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Martin Palermo F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Silvio Bazil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giovanni Arósio hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvio Bazil having to interfere. In the 36th match minute, Martin Palermo F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Izquierdo to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Antal Valentin put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Silvio Bazil. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Takacs Tibor got a free kick in the 44th minute. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giovanni Arósio in the 45th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Silvio Bazil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Takacs Tibor in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Tiburcio Pepillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martin Palermo F.C.'s Serafin Manni was substituted for Karl Holmberg. A collision led to Martin Palermo F.C. getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Tiburcio Pepillo hit a great ball. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Silvio Bazil made a huge save. 74 minutes into the game, Antal Valentin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Silvio Bazil. Antal Valentin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. 79 minutes into the match, Hungary's Antal Valentin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silvio Bazil narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Silvio Bazil didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antal Valentin went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiburcio Pepillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guillermo Izquierdo in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fodor Daniel saved Hungary from getting behind. The Martin Palermo F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hungary were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
