Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Toni Mauzer started the match with the kick off. Toni Mauzer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Patiño having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Patrik Terzic hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Croatia's zone, Alipio Mason stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ilija Skugor came out of the goal and Alipio Mason tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Virgilio Patiño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toni Mauzer in the 14th minute of play. Virgilio Patiño made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damir Pongrac in the 15th minute of play. Iván Dayson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ilija Skugor came out and tried to block the shot, but Iván Dayson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. Ilija Skugor was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Iván Dayson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Iván Dayson really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Neven Culina hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute, Dinko Stankovic got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Virgilio Patiño took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toni Mauzer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute, Edelmiro Aizpuru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ilija Skugor was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Edelmiro Aizpuru might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ilija Skugor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edelmiro Aizpuru ran back to his position shaking his head. Iván Dayson struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Ilija Skugor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Deportes Santa Cruz. Edelmiro Aizpuru hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

A collision led to Club Deportes Santa Cruz getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Edelmiro Aizpuru hit a great ball. Ilija Skugor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Rufo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ilija Skugor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edelmiro Aizpuru in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Iván Dayson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Deportes Santa Cruz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iván Dayson in the 66th minute of play forced Croatia's goalkeeper Ilija Skugor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ilija Skugor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edelmiro Aizpuru in the 68th minute of the match. Edelmiro Aizpuru scored 5-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ilija Skugor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ilija Skugor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Rufo in the 77th minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Croatia's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Rufo came free, but Ilija Skugor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaime Rufo charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaime Rufo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Jaime Rufo got a free kick in the 84th minute. Teobaldo Recciuc kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goalkeeper Virgilio Patiño had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Bosak. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dinko Stankovic got free with Virgilio Patiño in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 93 minutes into the match, Croatia's goal looked a bit too open when Edelmiro Aizpuru came free, but Ilija Skugor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ilija Skugor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iván Dayson, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Ilija Skugor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edelmiro Aizpuru in the 97th minute of play. There was no doubt that Club Deportes Santa Cruz were the better team. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
