In the 10th minute Carlo Camilleri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donzel Abasalo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donzel Abasalo was a little too slow when Darren Carabott got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 1-0. A collision led to Fußball Klub getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Rodolfo Justin hit a great ball. Donzel Abasalo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zlatko Zahovič, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 29th minute Tyrone González shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaron Tanti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th match minute, Fußball Klub was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Asteri Zapater to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute, Darren Carabott got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zlatko Zahovič in the 37th minute of play forced Fußball Klub's goalkeeper Donzel Abasalo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tyrone González to make the kick off. Aaron Tanti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Prudencio Policarpio in the 52nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tyrone González in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aaron Tanti saved Eleven Young Elephants from getting behind. Eleven Young Elephants's Aaron Tanti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateusz Ludwiczak in the 58th minute of play. Severino Bueno scored 2-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Donzel Abasalo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eleven Young Elephants's António Silva was substituted for Daan Jurásek. Tyrone González could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Aaron Tanti made a huge save. Severino Bueno took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Donzel Abasalo. Donzel Abasalo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The supporters of Eleven Young Elephants booed when Fußball Klub was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateusz Ludwiczak didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute Darren Carabott shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donzel Abasalo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Fußball Klub's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Bueno came free, but Donzel Abasalo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute, Severino Bueno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eleven Young Elephants fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Severino Bueno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 94th minute, Severino Bueno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Donzel Abasalo was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Eleven Young Elephants walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
