Keld Paulsen came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Балтика -95 Калининград's Kirill Ivanshin. But to his dismay, Kirill Ivanshin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 16th minute Kirill Ivanshin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Kirill Ivanshin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Valentin Nikonov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Балтика -95 Калининград booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris Nygaard didn't get a good kick on the ball. A throw-in in the 44th minute of the game was made by Aleksandr Bessmertnyi with Maksim Proskurin as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 45th minute, Lars Steen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Балтика -95 Калининград's goalkeeper Kir Kachalov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kirill Ivanshin made a kick off. When Valentin Nikonov came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Балтика -95 Калининград fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentin Nikonov couldn't finish the play. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 徐光朋 in the 55th minute of the match. A collision led to Балтика -95 Калининград getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Marat Chernodarov hit a great ball. Балтика -95 Калининград made a substitution. Anatoliy Arhipov replaced Maksim Proskurin. In the 66th minute, Marat Chernodarov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kir Kachalov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chris Nygaard in the 71st minute. Marat Chernodarov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Keld Paulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aleksandr Bessmertnyi made in the 81st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Marat Chernodarov however managed to control. Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 徐光朋, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Chris Nygaards short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Kir Kachalov to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Kirill Ivanshin hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Балтика -95 Калининград fans cheered their team off the field, for while Denmark had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
