The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the match, Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonardo Lane. Rhys Dimmock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Tytus Banaszak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Fodor Daniel made a huge save. Rhys Dimmock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Takacs Tibor in the 16th minute of play. Rhys Dimmock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the game, Sergey Krasinskiy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zamalek FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hungary the free kick. In the 19th minute, Sergey Krasinskiy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute Leonardo Lane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Zamalek FC's Leonardo Lane nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fodor Daniel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Zamalek FC's Raymond Quintero got a free kick in the 25th minute. After 31 minutes of play, Hungary's Balazs Lajos made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rhys Dimmock was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mugurel Balaeț, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zamalek FC's Rhys Dimmock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 39th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sergey Krasinskiy. Takacs Tibor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonardo Lane to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Balazs Lajos. When Zamalek FC's Tytus Banaszak in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hungary's goalie prevented a goal. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Lane in the 54th minute of play. The Zamalek FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Lane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fodor Daniel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tytus Banaszak went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. 70 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Tytus Banaszak came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Tytus Banaszak made a precise shot to the right of Fodor Daniel. Hungary's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Zamalek FC's Fred Kirkpatrick was substituted for Tytus Banaszak. Zamalek FC's Daron Joseph was substituted for Leonardo Lane. Fred Kirkpatrick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. In the 79thth minute of the game Fred Kirkpatrick who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zamalek FC were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Hungary's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sergey Krasinskiy took the corner. After 81 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Takacs Tibor. 83 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Kirkpatrick came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th match minute, Zamalek FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raymond Quintero to maneuver through the defense. Hegedus Henrik hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. 90 minutes into the game, Zamalek FC's Daron Joseph nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fodor Daniel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rhys Dimmock having to interfere. Hungary's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
