FFC Merainies 03's Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 5th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Łukasz Zwolinski notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Belgium's Casper Claes. Casper Claes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yves Dervaux in the 22nd minute of play forced FFC Merainies 03's goalkeeper Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Belgium's zone, Fabio Botello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casper Claes came out of the goal and Fabio Botello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 43 minutes of play, Belgium's Yves Dervaux made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 47 played minutes FFC Merainies 03 got a freekick which was hit by Izaak Spijker. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zé Pedro Montana to strike the kick off in the second half. A hard shot 54 in the game by Edward Vanderstraeten from a close distance when the talented Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu managed to make a qualified save. FFC Merainies 03's players were relieved. If Łukasz Zwolinski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Pedro Montana in the 61st minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Łukasz Zwolinski in the 65th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Zé Pedro Montana left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FFC Merainies 03 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Izaak Spijker during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Belgium booed when FFC Merainies 03 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Izaak Spijker didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd match minute, Belgium was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurens Vandamme to maneuver through the defense. After 84 played minutes, FFC Merainies 03's Fabio Botello shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Casper Claes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FFC Merainies 03 reached it. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, FFC Merainies 03's Izaak Spijker got a free kick in the 87th minute. Izaak Spijker hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Łukasz Zwolinski in the 92nd minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Belgium players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FFC Merainies 03.
