Ivan Wennerquists short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Hias Nüssli to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jacinto Maurer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zachary Piwowarski. Melenky FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Chen Hao Yue kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Switzerland's goalkeeper Hias Nüssli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ivan Wennerquist. After 24 played minutes Melenky FC got a freekick which was hit by Chen Hao Yue. Chen Hao Yue received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Hias Nüssli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hias Nüssli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivan Wennerquist in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute, Bonifacio Atarratze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivan Wennerquist's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Hias Nüssli skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Chen Hao Yue received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Hias Nüssli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ivan Wennerquist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Switzerland getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Rodrigo von Känel hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 54th minute, Ivan Wennerquist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hias Nüssli was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Samuele Kunz in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zachary Piwowarski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dmitriy Goldberg in the 62nd minute of play forced Switzerland's goalkeeper Hias Nüssli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivan Wennerquist kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Dmitriy Goldberg made a precise shot to the right of Hias Nüssli. Switzerland's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. The throw-in from David Kalandinskiy in the 68th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Switzerland's Eric Thomi. The supporters of Switzerland booed when Melenky FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ilya Dorofeev didn't get a good kick on the ball. A sloppy throw-in by David Kalandinskiy in the 76th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Switzerland's Eric Thomi. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodrigo von Känel during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 77th match minute, Switzerland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo von Känel to maneuver through the defense. Hias Nüssli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Wennerquist in the 78th minute of the match. Chen Hao Yue's late challenge caught a Switzerland's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Switzerland's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
