Rik Numan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dacian Jurăscu went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Serge Ewald hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. When Filip Hosu came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the FC Cosula-BTF- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filip Hosu couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Dacian Jurăscu sped through Mijdrecht Maffia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rik Numan. 28 minutes into the match, FC Cosula-BTF-'s goalkeeper Ovidiu Marin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcel Blanc. After some careless play in the Mijdrecht Maffia defense, Filip Hosu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rik Numan. The Mijdrecht Maffia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rik Numan should have stopped the shot. Rik Numan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilian Bădila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dacian Jurăscu in the 39th minute of play forced Mijdrecht Maffia's goalkeeper Rik Numan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rik Numan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petre Bogătan in the 42nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Mijdrecht Maffia defense, Petre Bogătan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rik Numan. The Mijdrecht Maffia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rik Numan should have stopped the shot. After the first half FC Cosula-BTF- were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcel Blanc to strike the kick off in the second half. A hard, long distance shot from Dacian Jurăscu flew over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gerrit van der Weerden in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ovidiu Marin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aurel Lăceanu charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aurel Lăceanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Irinel Irimescu in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rik Numan saved Mijdrecht Maffia from getting behind. Sever Mărăscu charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sever Mărăscu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 66 played minutes FC Cosula-BTF- got a freekick which was hit by Sever Mărăscu. 69 minutes into the game, Gerrit van der Weerden was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mijdrecht Maffia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Cosula-BTF- the free kick. Rik Numan was a little too slow when Aurel Lăceanu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 0-5. In the 75th minute of the match, Emilian Bădila got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rik Numan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Olimpiu Bobeica kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After some careless play in the FC Cosula-BTF- defense, Marcel Blanc kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ovidiu Marin. The FC Cosula-BTF- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ovidiu Marin should have stopped the shot. The FC Cosula-BTF- players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
