Ondrej Biskup charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ondrej Biskup the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ondrej Biskup hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the match, Gelu Chirilă dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Henrich Slany, 2-0. Gelu Chirilă might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henrich Slany. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gelu Chirilă ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 40th minute of the match, Gelu Chirilă tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Henrich Slany saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 44 minutes into the game, Gelu Chirilă cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Henrich Slany was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Metod Mlynar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Henrich Slany showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gelu Chirilă in the 54th minute of the match.
