After a rather tough play, Dokuz Oğuz's Orhan Veli İnceman got a free kick in the 10th minute. Hungary were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Dokuz Oğuz's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antal Valentin took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 16th minute of play forced Dokuz Oğuz's goalkeeper Tugay Sabeddin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Dokuz Oğuz's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Tugay Sabeddin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hungary's Takacs Tibor got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Dokuz Oğuz getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Ahmet Tolga Pekdemir hit a great ball. Hungary were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Dokuz Oğuz's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antal Valentin took the corner. Takacs Tibor was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Metin Tekin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Fodor Daniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Tugay Sabeddin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Takacs Tibor in the 51st minute of play. When Takacs Tibor came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Takacs Tibor couldn't finish the play. In the 59th minute, Hegedus Henrik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the match, Dokuz Oğuz's goal looked a bit too open when Takacs Tibor came free, but Tugay Sabeddin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute Şerafettin Demirkan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tugay Sabeddin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Takacs Tibor, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After 69 minutes, Hegedus Henrik mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hungary and the Dokuz Oğuz players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hegedus Henrik kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Dokuz Oğuz's Tugay Sabeddin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 76th minute of play. With a little luck, Dokuz Oğuz's Tugay Sabeddin got control of the ball when Antal Valentin tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 78th minute, Hungary's Antal Valentin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tugay Sabeddin. Tugay Sabeddin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. 81 minutes into the match, Hungary's Antal Valentin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tugay Sabeddin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner led Hungary's Major Barna to a score. 0-2 in the 82nd minute. In the 89th minute, Antal Valentin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Metin Tekin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fodor Daniel came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Dokuz Oğuz's Metin Tekin. But to his dismay, Metin Tekin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2.
