Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sandro Galishoff started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Witomir Puchlik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zacisze Częstochowa's supporters rose to their feet, but Witomir Puchlik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabio Auer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sandro Galishoff hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 5th minute of the match Michal Mudry shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabio Auer showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Marvin Harrer kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Marc Kronecker's late challenge caught a Zacisze Częstochowa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marc Kronecker helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th minute, one of Austria:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Austria. Zdzislaw Kiepski's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fabio Auer firmly grabbed it by the left post. Leonhard Maier hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, Fabio Schneider notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Zacisze Częstochowa's Wasyl Daszkowski. Wasyl Daszkowski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Zacisze Częstochowa's Wit Grocholski got a free kick in the 23rd minute. When Napoleon Deput fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zacisze Częstochowa's protests and gave Napoleon Deput a yellow card for diving instead. Walery Adamowicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Walery Adamowicz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabio Auer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 58th match minute, Zacisze Częstochowa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Krzysztof Ludzia to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the match, Austria's Sandro Galishoff sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wasyl Daszkowski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 61st minute Walery Adamowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Auer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wit Grocholski kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zacisze Częstochowa's goalkeeper Wasyl Daszkowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fabio Auer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walery Adamowicz in the 65th minute of the match. After 66 played minutes Austria got a freekick which was hit by Leonhard Maier. Zacisze Częstochowa's Wasyl Daszkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marvin Harrer in the 74th minute of play. When Jonas Nalder came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Austria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonas Nalder couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Austria's zone, Krzysztof Ludzia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabio Auer came out of the goal and Krzysztof Ludzia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th minute, Michal Mudry hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Zacisze Częstochowa's Walery Adamowicz in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Austria's goalie prevented a goal.
