Sylwester Ludwiczak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marvin Harrer went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Fabio Schneider blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sylwester Ludwiczak having to make a save. Sandro Galishoff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sylwester Ludwiczak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandro Galishoff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lukasz Poremba might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabio Auer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lukasz Poremba ran back to his position shaking his head. When Jonas Nalder fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Austria's protests and gave Jonas Nalder a yellow card for diving instead. Jonas Nalder kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Austria's Fabio Schneider got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Sylwester Ludwiczak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Nalder in the 44th minute of play. Kajetan Czerniejewski hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After the first half Austria were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maciej Mlekodaj to strike the kick off in the second half. Cyprian Jakubiak hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute, Maciej Mlekodaj left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wielcy Gdańsk fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Sandro Galishoff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sylwester Ludwiczak having to interfere. If Maciej Mlekodaj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sylwester Ludwiczak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Austria. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wielcy Gdańsk's goalkeeper Sylwester Ludwiczak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sandro Galishoff struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Sylwester Ludwiczak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Austria. After 87 minutes, Marc Kronecker mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Austria and the Wielcy Gdańsk players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 87th minute, Marc Kronecker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wielcy Gdańsk's Ignacy Siembab couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 88th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Austria.
