David Abad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nistor Sârban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Nistor Sârban managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rega Merida CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Nistor Sârban was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Abad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dominik Wincek got free with David Abad in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 48th minute, Nistor Sârban made a precise shot to the right of David Abad. Chinese CJ Youth Academy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Chinese CJ Youth Academy's Lucjan Falkiewicz was substituted for Danell Mackiathan. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Turgut Soyuer was the one to do the kick off.
